    Actress. Model. Princess.

Grace Kelly was one of the stars of Old Hollywood. She was a gorgeous talented woman who was famous around the world. She starred in movies such as “High Noon” and “How to Catch a Thief”. Grace Patricia Kelly was born in Philadelphia on Nov. 12, 1929. She was born to an Irish Catholic family, and both of her parents were prominent athletic figures. While her three siblings, Peggy, John Jr., and Lizanne, followed their parents' footsteps and were heavily involved in athletics, Grace decided to take a different route and enter into the world of arts. While her family did not heavily approve of this path, Grace flourished in her environment and soon proved to her family the talent she was capable of.

When she was only 18 years of age, she moved to New York City to further her education in the Arts and attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. To pay for both her tuition and room and board at the local Barbizon Hotel for Women, Grace became an advertisement model. In 1959 she landed her first big Broadway role, playing the daughter in “The Father”. Although she was highly criticized for her high-pitched voice, this role gave her leeway into the world of Hollywood. She was cast in her first movie at the age of 22 in “Fourteen Hours” playing Louis Fuller. She soon played Gary Cooper’s wife in the movie “High Noon” the following year. She signed a contract with MGM in 1952, receiving a salary of $750 per week, giving her the opportunity to indulge in purchasing luxury goods.
